OLYMPIAD FirST ROUNd
All or selected grade 6 and 7 learners write the first paper in March 2026. Each school selects a minimum of 5 learners per grade to participate.
OLYMPIAD SECOND ROUND
Learners achieving above the 70% mark in round 1 will progress to round 2. The round 2 paper will be written in July 2026.
Certificates
Certificates are awarded after the second round of the Olympiad.
Diamond Certficate - 90% +
Gold Certificate - 80% - 89%
Silver Certificate - 70% -79%
Bronze Certificate - 69% -
curriculum collaboration
We strive to collaborate with teachers through feedback and surveys that can help us improve and confirm the themes and langauge topics to cover for each combined grade 6 and 7 paper.

Registration

Fill in and submit the registration form to register your learners.

Once we recieve the form, we will generate an invoice for your school.

You can use the invioce to make payment and await confirmation of entry.

Please esnure that your payments are made and reflect before 2 March 2026
Writing the papers

The ROUND 1 Olympiad Paper will be shared to all participating schools electronically.

Schools can print and write the paper on the day of the oympiad at their respective schools.

Written papers are to be physically sent to St John's Preparatory School in Houghton, Johannesburg, as a point of collection.

The Round 2 Olympiad Paper will be shared and submitted in the same format to the same location.
Results

Once all papers have been recieved and collected. The marking process will begin.

Results for ROUND 1 will be shared via email to each school representative. These will be the names of learners that make it to ROUND 2.

Results for ROUND 2 will be shared in the form of certificates from Diamond to Bronze.
